Hard Bounced Diskmag Criticism
Ideas have faded into oblivion. There aren't any new and innovative subjects left which haven't been written about in the past. Almost every Very Important Scener has been interviewed already. Reports describing the state of a scene country or a group have all been done before. There are only a handful of interesting scene parties left to write fragile and non-quality party reports about. The Polish connection is one hundred percent debated; that's for sure! The Eurocharts on PC is more dead than alive. A lot of known editors active on PC in the past quitted writing and are living only their own lives. And what about those diskmags we can't read because they are Polish only?
All writing styles have been explored, nothing new to gain there either. Comebacks or small re-appearances by old writers have already been made and done. These days most articles are based on the personal oppinion of the writer, how egoistic, how selfish. Where is the balanced stream of quality and interesting articles we knew in earlier times when a lot more and better diskmags got released? There is nothing new left to explore with writing. There is nothing left than selfish egostimulation, mud-trowing and provokarative spandimerda! We don't need such articles with the goal to lift some reaction. And then there are those old writers who haven't been following the scene the last few years but are still trying to write articles.
They can't do anything else than cover old topics, write about past things, or write that mud-trowing, selfish spandimerda! You know nothing lasts for ever, some things we will never understand, we just need to accept the situation of scene journalism anno domini 2001!!!
MPEG Amiga Demos for PC..
Not so long ago, about a month after Mekka & Symposium 2001, some sceners at #amigascne including me started to discuss a nice www site which has a lot of Amiga Demos online.. Nothing new so far, unless you are a PC user now and still want to see some Amiga demos.. No, don't use WINUAE, THE Amiga emulator on PC, but download some nice Amiga demos from this fabulous website: omr.planet-d.net/amidemos. All the demos featured online are mpegs (in divX format), a very nice service to see some older and new demos.. Some demos from ms2k1 are even online.. Of course you need to have a fast connection because a simple demo is already around 20mb to download.. Yes, the PC scene should be really scared now!! A sudden change of cultures is at hand!! (By the way, an AMIGA demo WON Assembly 2001 above PC demo from CNCD, Haujobb, Virtual Dreams and Sunflower!!! :))
Devotion diskmag continued with new Staff..
If you know diskmags on Amiga, than read on - this is really interesting.. Thank you Wade, Ghandy, Fishwave and Sane for releasing Devotion issue 2!! For continuing the magazine Darkus and I put a lot of effort in, in the past. I know you are very proud to continue the diskmag of your most favourite two writers. You certainly feel the same now as Astro did when he took over RAW from Lord helmet!! I know it cost you guys a lot of time and hard work to write the articles and finally get Devotion 2 released. Not to mention how irritated you all became when Darkus left you all silent like he did with me (did he? :)) when we were working on Devotion issue 2 in the beginning of 2001!! Of course Sane could also not leave this opportunity to write other spandimerda sentences about me, how trustworthy he looks now!!! I am eagerly waiting for a new issue in the future. Of course even better through more hard work sweat and tears by the former Seenpoint staff. Of course with even more shocking contents for the scene to read and get irritated by. We all know now that you guys are the best diskmag staff ever!! By the way, there is a very good chance that the Devotion staff will also be thrown out for issue 3. Adok of Hugi is already plotting a Hostile Takeover together with the coder of Devotion, Mr Tickle for this.. In the mean time Darkus and Magic have there own fun! Our plan worked!! Devotion is still alive, and we didn't have to do a single thing for it. We irritated the former Seenpoint staff, and above all even Devotion issue 3 might come some day soon!!! Thank you guy's!! Darkus can now be a fulltime father, while I can concentrate on other more important diskmag projects like Hugi!!
