Do we have a destiny?

Ok. You might have seen some news about finding new genes which do that and that... etc. But how could those four letters (A, C, G, T) decide our future? A little mutation in your chromosomes will decide if you have a greater risk to get cancer or if you have Down Syndrome. So DNA is a very buggy product in the long distance. Ever thought how creepy it is to see how much of our lives depends on four bases?

Now when we have the technology to manipulate genes, how long it is going to take until the first "improved" human (a wonder of genetic engineering) will be created? Imagine you actually have no real parents 'cause your DNA is tweaked from those two parts needed to create you. (You probably know what I mean.) And could you have a personality or would you just be a product? IMHO, you would have a personality although you wouldn't be a "real" human.

The second creepy thing is cloning humans because of the need of "spare parts". You are born only to be an object in hospital. Would that be fair? Or when thinking from the patient's point of view? He could have all the things to survive in this horrible world.

The third thing is that we still don't know the meaning of all genes. When we discover the meaning of all genes, genetic manipulation may start. Just improve little bit that and that... and voilą! A new human. Also using genetic engineering in unborn children is quite fishy. Maybe it's acceptable when your children have got something wrong in their genes. But the thing is that you have to know what's wrong in the early days of pregnancy. Then you can choose how tall or smart or ... your son/daughter will be.

But we can learn something from the genes. Know to understand nature and the human body itself better.

We'll have to understand ourselves before trying to understand others.

But could DNA be a splendid target for a bio-engineered virus? Or RNA?
Both of them are important for our lives.
Oh why we are actually so weak?
We come from two cells.
Those two cells will decide a part of our future.
Maybe it'll be ok for me.
I don't have any influence on my DNA and neither do you.
We all have different DNA.
But do you own your DNA or your clone?
You have the original DNA and it's used in your clone.
You make your own decisions with your DNA.
DNA is only a tool of nature.
